It’s fabulous knowing what we know. We can ask for directions, a product, where something’s been put. And if we don’t know, there’s always Google Translate.

BUT accents and very fast talking can make understanding the answer hard for the non-native Spanish speaker. So how are we going to ask people to slow down or help us understand them better?

The topic gives us a theme for discussion. Classes with Claire brings the (fun) structure to help you ask for help without simply relying on hand gestures or hoping someone else understood what they were saying.

You just make yourself comfortable and turn up - this is the one class where you deliberately get stuck and work your way around it!

Notes:

  • Classes are via Zoom - no need to sign up.

  • Latecomers may join up to 10 minutes late, maximum.

  • If you miss a class we can change you to another scheduled session on a one off basis.

  • This class will be repeated bi monthly - pick your date.

  • Free to students already booked on ‘Classes with Claire’ - consider it part of your learning experience. ASk in class for a code if you don’t already have it.
