What level is my Spanish?
I always ask what level people’s Spanish is at when they join classes.
But this week I had a rude awakening. Describing your level of Spanish is slightly vague around the edges - you might struggle with numbers but get the ‘preterites’ and ‘perfects’ (tenses) off to a T, but still struggle for some reason with the number seven.
This week some people who ere absoluetly NOT beginners in my book believed they were. That’s not on them, it’s on me. In my desire for less formality, I was,t making it easy for people to guess their levels. As a consequence, the class was way too low level to meet their needs.
So, here’s a video that I hope will help:
A video to help students decide what level they are at for Classes with Claire
