Are you headed to Chichester’s Community Festival?
The Chichester Community Festival 2026 Community Day is looking great. We all know how much work goes in behind the scenes to make these things happen, so well done to all for putting on what looks like a great little community event. (I’m fairly new to the area, so I’m looking forward to my first time here!)
In the Pavillion, there is all kinds of activity fron baby yoga to dance - even a gong bath! And on the park and in the chapel is all kinds of music, and, close to my own heart, even the dogs have their moment in the spotlight. Dog Agility demos morph into dog agility ‘have a go’. What could possibly go wrong?!
There are things going on for both adults and children. And, obviously, even for dogs.
I’m hoping to get there as a visitor, but if you’re attending, do head for the tombola. I’ve donated two online Spanish classes/events.
The lucky winner can join any of our regular Thursday online classes/events.
Currently scheduled are:
monthly conversation classes. Currently scheduled we have purchasing and paying in Spain, navigating the airport, and an October special on olives and olive oil to coincide with harvest time:
a regular (practise your numbers) Bingo! slot;
Study help classes;
a Christmas singalong (in Spanish, free to join in for everyone)
As an aside, anyone from Chichester is unlikely to want to travel to Spanish classes in Littlehampton, Ferring or Arundel. But the nice thing about running them myself is that I’m in charge! So if you won the voucher, we might be able to transfer it squidge you into a new or existing class. No promises, it will depend on your level and where the class has progressed to, but you can always ask. I want happy students - it’s the only way to make a success of this for all of us.
Meanwhile, I’ll be there if I can - you’ll probably find me covered in dog hair somewhere around the agility course, at a guess!
